Short Description: This AMN Sandwich ELISA Kit, Ready-To-Use is an in-vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the measurement of samples in human cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma (EDTA, citrate, heparin).
Storage Instruction: The whole kit may be stored at-20°C for up to 12 months from receipt. An unopened kit may be stored in the fridge at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. Once opened store individual kit contents according to components table provided with the kit.

Tissue Specificity Detected in proximal tubules in the kidney cortex (at protein level). Long isoforms are highly expressed in small intestine, colon and kidney (renal proximal tubule epithelial cells). Shorter isoforms are detected at lower levels in testis, thymus and peripheral blood leukocytes.
Post Translational Modifications N-glycosylated. A soluble form arises by proteolytic removal of the membrane anchor.
Function Membrane-bound component of the endocytic receptor formed by AMN and CUBN. Required for normal CUBN glycosylation and trafficking to the cell surface. The complex formed by AMN and CUBN is required for efficient absorption of vitamin B12. Required for normal CUBN-mediated protein transport in the kidney (Probable).
