Short Description: SERINC5 Blocking Peptide for STJ502941 is synthetically produced from the 270-320 sequence and is suitable for use in western blot applications.
Formulation: Liquid form at 2.5mg/ml concentration in PBS. Up to 5% DMSO can be added. Orders with >1mg can be supplied in lyophilized powder form, or in buffer of choice.
Storage Instruction: Store at-20°C for long term storage. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: This blocking peptide is recommended for use in combination with SERINC5 antibody, STJ502941
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide taken within amino acid region 270-320 on human Serine incorporator 5 protein.
Background Restriction factor required to restrict infectivity of gammaretroviruses, such as HIV-1: acts by inhibiting early step of viral infection and impairing the ability of the viral particle to translocate its content to the cytoplasm (PubMed:26416733, PubMed:26416734). Enhances the incorporation of serine into phosphatidylserine and sphingolipids. May play a role in providing serine molecules for the formation of myelin glycosphingolipids in oligodendrocytes.
